Adventist Horseman’s Association

December 03, 2015

Memories of special places, people and times: We all have them. One of these came at the end of July for Denise and me.

We were asked to participate in the Adventist Horseman’s Association (AHA) Camp Meeting held in the beautiful hills just east of Prineville, Ore.

Rising early each morning to a serene view of green meadows, filled with tall grasses softly moving to the quiet whisper of the mornings first call and to the majestic, tall ancient pine trees surrounding our encampment. This beautiful sight will always remain clear and vivid in our memories.

After preparing the 1 p.m. talk, a series on Christian joy, we'd go trail riding for a short time and then participate in playing music for song service. After the service we'd spend time relaxing, visiting other campers and simply enjoying nature, the horses and the downtime. What a wonderful spiritual time.

In November, right after Cowboy Church, we will be having a meeting to discuss starting an AHA chapter right here in Southern Oregon. You don't need a horse to join.
