Irrigon Celebrates Six Generations of Members

Irrigon Church members are proud to announce an unusual celebration. With the birth of Senna Rose Stone, one member family has six living generations. Bertha “Bertie” Gallagher celebrated her 100th birthday on Feb. 4, 2012. She now resides in Hood River, Ore., in a nursing facility. The rest of the family still resides in and near Irrigon, Ore.

Bertha Gallagher is 103 years old (lower front) is joined by five other generations: (from left) daughter Lee Bates, granddaughter De Stone, great-granddaughter Angela Stone Rodriguez, great-great-granddaughter Reina Stone and great-great-great-granddaughter Senna Rose Stone, who was born Aug. 6, 2015.

The Gleaner is a gathering place with news and inspiration for Seventh-day Adventist members and friends throughout the northwestern United States. It is an important communication channel for the North Pacific Union Conference — the regional church support headquarters for Adventist ministry throughout Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. The original printed Gleaner was first published in 1906, and has since expanded to a full magazine with a monthly circulation of more than 40,000. Through its extended online and social media presence, the Gleaner also provides valuable content and connections for interested individuals around the world.
