Three Sisters Gets Updated Schoolhouse

By Karla Toms, June 24, 2019

Central Oregon is packed with gorgeous mountain peaks, breathtaking landscapes, amazing food, great jobs and top-notch schools. The world is taking notice, and cities like Bend and Redmond are rapidly expanding as people move here every day.

Three Sisters Adventist Christian School (TSACS) sits on picture-perfect acreage in the middle of it all. The school was built in 1972 in an area that was centrally located for all who wished to attend. The small school building and large gymnasium have witnessed hundreds of students receive a wonderful Christian education.

But the schoolhouse has been aging, and it became apparent that major updates were needed to comply with new safety laws. Future generations would see a new and beautiful entrance to this lovely gem of a school.

God provided an abundance of miracles to pave the way for our improvement efforts. Many professionals from our community donated thousands of dollars and a multitude of volunteer hours to see the dream become a reality.

Our beautiful entrance is secured with safety doors and cameras. The vaulted entryway opens into a new school secretary’s office and workroom. The gorgeous hickory cabinets have all been custom designed and finished by experts who generously donated their time and materials.

Throughout the rest of the school fresh flooring and rich new paint decorate the surfaces. The students play safely and freely on large expanses of lawn protected by lovely new fencing. The parking lot is slotted for a new surface this summer as well.

Currently the TSACS students are gathering sponsors for our Color “Run for the Restroom!” Fundraiser. These kids are passionate about helping fund a remodel of our restrooms to make them ADA-accessible. They will also be adding a much-needed toilet and sink off of the classroom for pre-K through first grade.

Hopes and dreams for the school building are becoming a reality. The energy and excitement for the upcoming school year are palpable. The teaching staff, students and their families, local churches, and community have all been incredibly instrumental in this process. Funding and resources have been provided by miracle after miracle. If you are blessed enough to live in central Oregon or you are looking to move here, stop by and check us out. God is moving in incredible ways at Three Sisters Adventist Christian School.
