New Leadership at LCAS

By Daniel Patton, July 07, 2021

Lewis County Adventist School, in Chehalis, Washington, has a new face behind the principal’s office desk. After nine years of faithful service principal Karen Carlton is leaving LCAS. She has accepted the principal position at Amazing Grace Academy in Palmer, Alaska.

Carlton was instrumental in securing several grants to enhance technology at LCAS. She also partnered students with volunteer service activities throughout the Puget Sound area. She will always have a special place in the heart of LCAS students and parents alike.

The new LCAS principal, Kelly Gennick, comes from Taylor Mill Christian Academy in Kentucky. Gennick brings a wealth of knowledge in the area of management and special education. She made it clear to the LCAS board that her passion is bringing Jesus into the classroom and genuinely making a difference in students' lives.

The LCAS family asks for prayers for both Carlton and Gennick as they move into their new roles this summer and continue to unite children with Jesus.
