There are moments in life when God gives us evidence we are not alone and that the Holy Spirit has gone before us. Kami's life is one such reminder.
Kami has lived a very tumultuous life. Born out of human trafficking, she's tried to make the best of things in a very confusing world. Through all the pain, God has been watching over her and working to show her His plan for her life.
A mother of four, and married, Kami was still looking for more. She was searching for people to love her and accept her into their family. Over the years God had tenderly guided Kami to important people in her life. She felt impressed to find a church family. Then she came upon the Hillsboro Church.
Kami found safety at the Hillsboro Church. She was learning more about her loving God. God had finally brought her home.
She was baptized on November 13th, 2021. Her baptism marked the beginning of a new chapter in life. This time she has confidence in God's unfailing love as well as friends around to help her on her journey. She knows her future won’t be easy but feels God changing her heart. There are many things to heal from, and the future ahead is unknown. But, she will face that world with an assurance that God will be there for her.
God always has the right moments for us. When we choose to listen and follow, God leads us to the place where we are safe and secure. This life might not always offer us the best situations, but we know that with God we can handle what comes our way. We praise God for His kindness and patience. He understands and never gives up on us. Kami is one more soul God has embraced in His arms.
