Women Invited to Help 'Make Heaven Crowded'

By Jennifer Bullion, January 28, 2025

Women’s ministry can be a major force for Jesus. The North Pacific Union Women’s Ministry Leadership Summit happening April 25–27, 2025 at Sunset Lake Camp is geared to help women in your church get organized to be strategic and evangelistic in your sphere of influence. Get equipped for your journey in reaching others for the kingdom. Your experience at this summit will be inspiring and comprehensive.

Tyler Long, Washington Conference evangelism director, will share his expertise in keys for effective, growing ministry.

Forming impactful, life-changing small groups will be enthusiastically highlighted by Dustin Serns, Washington Conference church planting director.

Patty Marsh, Upper Columbia Conference director of Adventist Community Services, disaster response, urban, children's and women’s ministries, will share how to plan outreach ministry that actually makes a difference.

Ernesto Hernandez, Washington Conference media director and leader in this new ministry field, will share tips for using social media and technology to drive evangelism that anyone can do.

The weekend will culminate in coaching by highly experienced women’s ministry leaders Tawny Sportsman, Oregon Conference women’s ministries coordinator, and Sue Patzer, NPUC women’s ministries director.

As this is a valuable training opportunity, attendance at this event qualifies for sponsorship under Pentecost 2025 funding for participating churches. This is also a great opportunity to network with other passionate women involved in ministry in their local churches. We invite you to attend this one-of-a-kind event and take your women’s ministry to the next level.

The Gleaner is a gathering place with news and inspiration for Seventh-day Adventist members and friends throughout the northwestern United States. It is an important communication channel for the North Pacific Union Conference — the regional church support headquarters for Adventist ministry throughout Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. The original printed Gleaner was first published in 1906, and has since expanded to a full magazine with a monthly circulation of more than 40,000. Through its extended online and social media presence, the Gleaner also provides valuable content and connections for interested individuals around the world.
